Summer leagues offer a range of recreational sports

Suggestions for sport leagues in Guelph

If you’re sticking around and looking to play sports in Guelph this summer, check out these summer sports leagues.

Game On

Game On is a league that is focused on the participants and having fun—no skill required.

During the summer, you can play softball, ball hockey, basketball, soccer (co-ed and women’s), kickball, and volleyball (beach and indoor).

If you do not know what sport to choose, you can sign up for multi sports, where you get to play volleyball, flag football, kickball, and soccer.

Generally, whichever sport you choose is played once a week for seven to 10 weeks. If you have a few friends you want to play with, registration can be done individually, as a small group, or as a team. Prices for individuals range from $45 to $85 depending on the sport.

Game On donates a portion of participant fees to local charities.

Guelph Gryphons

The Gryphons Fitness and Recreation leagues are mostly team based. If you have a team, you can play beach volleyball, softball, bubble soccer, pickleball, or a mix of seven sports.

Individuals can sign up for softball or bubble soccer. Prices for individuals range from $58 to $83.

All games take place at the University of Guelph campus.

Perpetual Motion

Perpetual Motion has a range of skill levels for their sports, from beginner to experienced.

Perpetual Motion provides the option to play in a league, tournament, or both.  

Summer leagues include flag football, soccer, beach volleyball, and Ultimate Frisbee.

Tournaments in the summer include disc golf and beach volleyball.

If you choose to play in a league, the sport is played once a week for eight weeks. You can sign up on your own or with friends. Prices for individuals range from $45 to $65 depending on the sport.

Tournaments are a onetime event and they can be registered for by an individual or a team. The cost ranges from $15 to $20.
