Michael Cimesa is a first-year political science student at the University of Guelph.
“For the most part, my approach to taking photos is to try and get as close to the subjects as possible in order to capture all the little details, like the fuzz on a tomato. When deciding what to photograph, whatever seems interesting to me at the time is fair game, whether it’s a pretty plant or my cats wandering around outside. A repeating theme in my photos would be different aspects of nature, as gardens and forests are where I find a lot of my inspiration.”
